SVJCT’s Samarth Nursing College celebrated World Environment Day on 5 June 2026 at 11:00 a. m. to promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices. The programme was organized in accordance with the global theme, “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future”. The event commenced with an inspiring welcome, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable living. Students actively participated in the programme by delivering informative speeches highlighting environmental challenges and the collective responsibility to protect nature for future generations. A special attraction of the celebration was Eco- Friendly Fashion Walk, where students’ showcased innovative outfits prepared using environmentally sustainable and recyclable materials. The activity encouraged creativity while promoting the message of environmental protection and responsible consumption. The competition entries were evaluated by Ms. Varsha Khambe, Assitant Professor, and Ms. Dipali Chavan, Clinical Instructor, who appreciated the students’ efforts and creativity. Two participants were selected as the Best Performers for their outstanding presentation and commitment to the theme. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Tejal Surve, Principal, and Prof. Jessey Jacob, Vice- Principal, whose encouragement contributed significantly to the success of the event. The celebration concluded with a renewed commitment among students and faculty members to adopt eco- friendly practices and work towards a greener and more sustainable future.
