A one-day cadaveric workshop on Regional Anaesthesia was successfully organized on 29th March 2026 at Walawalkar Hospital, Derwan. The workshop received an enthusiastic response, with a total of 43 delegates & 12 Faculty participating in the program.
The inaugural session was graced by Dr. Suvarna Patil (Director), Dr. Netaji Patil, and Dr. Sunil Nadkarni.
The workshop was led by eminent anaesthesiologist Dr. Sandeep Diwan, Chairperson, AORA CRAB, who served as the Lead Faculty. He was joined by expert faculty including Dr. Sanghamitra Ghosh, Dr. John M. K., Dr. Jyoti Deshpande, along with seven other anaesthesia specialists, who provided in-depth guidance on advanced regional anaesthesia techniques.
The workshop featured hands-on cadaveric training sessions, where participants were trained in ultrasound-guided nerve blocks, various peripheral nerve block techniques, and safety protocols. The sessions also highlighted recent advancements in anaesthesia practices and their application in improving patient care.
The organizers expressed confidence that the workshop would enhance the clinical skills of participating doctors and enable them to deliver safer and more effective anaesthesia services to patients.
The program was organized by the Department of Anaesthesia in collaboration with the Department of Anatomy. Dr. Leena Thakur, Dr. Vaishali Bapat, and Dr. Abhijit Rokade played a key role in the successful execution of the workshop. Special acknowledgement was given to Dr. Prashant Moolya for providing cadaveric support.
The event was skillfully anchored by Dr. Himani Chavan (Anaesthesiologist).
