Dr Manisha Waghmare from Chiplun Maharashtra & Meera Velankar from Bengaluru travelled on Tandem cycle across India starting from Kibithu Arunachal Pradesh , Assam West Bengal, Bihar, UP, Rajasthan and Gujarat ended in Koteshwar temple Gujarat.
No male or female or any mix pair did this route on tandem before in India or Asia. We crossed 7 states. Covered 3812 km distance in 43 days.
This ride was totally unsupported means no other accompanying person, no vehicle behind.,no any support. We carried our own luggage on cycle. We set the record on this difficult turren.
We faced heavy rainfall , strong headwinds, hot temperatures also. We had an accident also near Agra still completed ride. Also having Kibithu to Agra embedded record of World ultra cycling association.
