SVJCT English Medium School celebrated the auspicious festival of Ashadhi Ekadashi with great enthusiasm, devotion, and cultural spirit. The celebration aimed to familiarize students with Maharashtra’s rich cultural heritage and the timeless values of faith, unity, humility, and devotion associated with Lord Vitthal and the Warkari tradition.Students arrived dressed in traditional Maharashtrian attire as Warkaris, Sant Dnyaneshwar, Sant Tukaram, Lord Vitthal, and Goddess Rukmini, creating a vibrant and devotional atmosphere across the campus. A symbolic Dindi procession was organized with devotional chants of “Vitthal Vitthal Jai Hari Vitthal,” accompanied by lezim performances, bhajans, and abhangs that filled the school with spiritual energy. Teachers explained the significance of Ashadhi Ekadashi and the Pandharpur Wari, helping students understand the importance of preserving India’s cultural and spiritual traditions. The celebration encouraged active participation, teamwork, and respect for the country’s rich heritage. The programme concluded with prayers and a message inspiring students to embrace values such as compassion, discipline, and selfless service in their daily lives.
