B.K.L. Walawalkar Rural Medical College, College of Physiotherapy, and Samarth Nursing College celebrated World Earth Day 2026 with a pledge-taking ceremony organized by the Department of Community Medicine. Approximately 1,000 students from the medical, nursing, and physiotherapy colleges participated in the event.
Following discussions with the Medical Director, a formal letter was drafted and circulated to the College of Physiotherapy, the Nursing Coordinator, and coordinators of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd MBBS students between 20th and 22nd April, appealing for administration of the Earth Day pledge among students and staff.
Around 1,000 participants took part in this grand event and downloaded their e-certificates. Geo-tagged photographs were captured, and a detailed report was submitted to the central ministry for record purposes along with a request for an appreciation certificate.
