At Shri Viththalrao Joshi Charities Trust-run B.K.L. Walawalkar Rural Medical College, an “Instrument Handover Ceremony” for the student orchestra was held with great enthusiasm on 14 February 2026.

On this occasion, the scheduled dignitaries included Dr. Shripad Banavali, Vice-Chancellor of Shri Viththalrao Joshi University; Dr. Sunil Nadkarni; Medical Director Dr. Suvarna Patil; and the institution’s founder Vikas Walawalkar. Faculty members, students, doctors, and nurses from all colleges and schools run by the institution were also present.

Every year, during the birth anniversary celebrations of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a musical program titled “Shivrajni” is performed by students pursuing healthcare education within the institution. The program consistently receives immense appreciation from audiences.

For this year’s preparation, musical instruments including tabla, harmonium, and pakhawaj were ceremonially worshipped and then formally handed over to the Mrudgandha Arts and Cultural Forum of the medical college. Students expressed heartfelt gratitude to Vikas Walawalkar Sir for this thoughtful contribution.

The memorable program concluded with students presenting the devotional song Kanada Raja Pandharicha using the newly received instruments, captivating and winning the hearts of everyone present.
