The death anniversary of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar (Swatantryaveer Savarkar) was commemorated in a solemn yet inspiring atmosphere with a special lecture program organized to pay tribute to the great revolutionary and social reformer.
Renowned writer and orator Akshay Jog graced the occasion as the chief speaker. In his impactful address, he highlighted Savarkar’s visionary leadership, unwavering patriotism, and revolutionary ideology that played a significant role in India’s freedom struggle.
Mr. Jog elaborated on Savarkar’s life of struggle, his immense contribution to the independence movement, and his progressive approach toward social reform. He particularly emphasized Savarkar’s broader social vision during his stay in Ratnagiri, where he established the Patit Pavan Mandir and opened it to people of all castes, reflecting his commitment to social equality.
