SVJCT’s B.K.L. Walawalkar College of Physiotherapy provided on-field physiotherapy support during the Taluka-Level Kho-Kho Matches 2026, held at SVJCT Sports Academy on 7th and 8th October 2026.
Under the guidance of Dr. Dinesh Sekhar, Junior Resident M.P.Th. students provided immediate care to participants in the Under-14 and Under-19 boys’ and girls’ categories. A total of 3 participants (2 females and 1 male) received treatment for sports-related conditions, including dizziness, left shoulder dislocation, and left radius pain.
The treatment included oral electrolytes and deep-breathing exercises for dizziness, shoulder relocation followed by appropriate support, and pain-relief spray with therapeutic taping for left radius pain.
This initiative highlights the college’s commitment to sports injury management, immediate physiotherapy care, and the health and safety of young athletes.
