SVJCT’s B.K.L. Walawalkar College of Physiotherapy provided on-field physiotherapy services during the B.K.L. Walawalkar Memorial Cross Country Marathon, held on 8 September 2026 at SVJCT’s Sports Academy.
A team of faculty and postgraduate physiotherapy students was deputed to provide immediate care for participants experiencing sports-related conditions and post-race fatigue. Around 20 participants received assistance, including rehydration support for dehydration and appropriate resting positions for fatigue.
The initiative ensured timely physiotherapy support and contributed to the health, safety, and well-being of the marathon participants.
