The ‘Market Day’ activity was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Dervan English Medium School.
Students set up attractive stalls selling a variety of products and gained first-hand experience of buying and selling. For a day, every student turned into a young entrepreneur.
The stalls showcased a wide range of items including decorative and household products, Diwali specials, snacks, beverages, and traditional delicacies. Handmade showpieces, fridge magnets, paper bouquets, greeting cards, bags, purses, pen stands, lanterns, rangoli, festive snacks, chocolate milkshakes, bhel, corn chat, and items like banana flour, papad, and methkut added colour and vibrancy to the event.
Students interacted courteously with customers, displaying excellent communication, calculation, and business skills. The activity helped them develop entrepreneurship, confidence, and a sense of responsibility.
Parents responded enthusiastically and appreciated the initiative, expressing happiness that their children had prepared the items with their own efforts. An attractive ‘Selfie Point’ was also created at the venue.
The event witnessed active participation from parents, teachers, alumni, and staff.
SVJCT school consistently conducts such initiatives to promote self-reliance, practical skills, and creativity among its students.
