A grand spiritual event has commenced today as the Rigveda Samhita Ghana Patha Parayana (traditional Vedic chanting) officially began at the sacred abode of ‘Shri’ (Shrinche Sthan). The week-long religious discourse is dedicated to the chanting of the 4th Ashtaka of the Rigveda Samhita.
The auspicious parayana started on Sunday, May 17, 2026 (corresponding to the Hindu calendar date Miti Adhik Jyeshtha Shukla 1, Shaka 1948). It is scheduled to conclude on Saturday, May 23, 2026 (Miti Adhik Jyeshtha Shukla 8, Shaka 1948).
According to the organizers, the sacred chanting sessions will take place daily in the morning hours.
