B.K.L. Walawalkar Hospital has pioneered an innovative course titled ‘Radiology Practical Exams Preparation’ for MD Radiology appearing students and PG students. Now in its second year, the Radiology department of BKLW Hospital convened its latest Radiology practical exam course between 19th to 21st September 2025. This purely academic session was attended by most senior Radiology consultants and departmental heads, along with MD appearing Radiology students from all the various medical colleges and hospitals all over Maharashtra and Karnataka state.This was followed by a detailed discussion on the current scenario of Radiology Day in today’s practice. Interesting and important Radiology cases from various hospitals and medical colleges were presented and discussed with the student’s highlighting the important areas to be focused on and requiring utmost attention. Key deliberations focused on the radiology spotters, Short & Long cases, table vivas, and intervention radiology topics.
We conduct a mock practice examination like a university exam, aiming to boost students’ confidence, gain practical knowledge, and face the actual university exam positively. This educational course commenced with a review of the benefits that occurred to the students from last year’s session.
The primary objective was to prepare students to confidently appear for their university examinations. The course also provided in-depth knowledge to handle routine radiology cases effectively. During personal interviews and the feedback taken, participants enthusiastically shared how much they had gained and how beneficial they found the course.
In simple words, the ‘Radiology Practical Exams Preparation’ course has been very helpful. It has made students more confident and better at doing their work. Many students are excited about it, and more schools want to use it too. This shows that the course is a big success and makes a real difference.
