A community Haldikumkum gathering was organized by Shri Vitthalrao Joshi Charities Trust and Walawalkar College during the Maghi Ganapati Festival at the Shri Ganesh Temple located on the hospital premises.

The annual Haldikumkum event saw enthusiastic participation from women across Sawarde, Dervan, Furus, Kosambi, Dahivali, Kharvate, Nivali, Turambav, and other surrounding villages in the Panchkroshi area. This year, around 1,370 women attended the celebration, making it a vibrant and unifying occasion.

On this special occasion, the Skill Development Center organized an exhibition of handmade decorative and utility items, including door hangings, purses, wallets, Khadi bags, file folders made with Khan cloth, soaps, perfumes, and Ayurvedic oils. The initiative aimed to promote women’s self-reliance and encourage women and young girls to pursue vocational training for sustainable livelihood.
