S.V.J.C.T.’s B.K.L. Walawalkar College of Physiotherapy, Sawarde, Ratnagiri, organised its annual Graduation Ceremony (Dishaant Samaroh) for the graduating 2021 Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPTh) batch on 31 August 2026 at Dr. Anil Kakodkar Hall. The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp in the presence of dignitaries, faculty members, students and parents. Dr. Suvarna Patil, Medical Director and Chief Guest, Dr. Chandrasekar L., Principal, and Dr. Arvind Yadhav, HOD, Department of Biochemistry, B.K.L. Walawalkar Rural Medical College, graced the occasion. The graduating students were addressed on the importance of compassionate, ethical and evidence-based healthcare, professional responsibility, continuous learning and patient-centred physiotherapy practice. A retrospective presentation highlighted the students’ academic journey, clinical training, research exposure and community-based learning. Academic Excellence Awards were presented to Sakshee Khanolkar, Shravani Dalvi and Yashada Mhatre, while Sakshee Khanolkar was honoured with the Best Outgoing Student Award for her overall academic, clinical, leadership and extracurricular achievements. All graduating students were felicitated with commemorative mementos, marking their transition from students to healthcare professionals. The participation of parents and faculty added significance to the occasion, which concluded with a Vote of Thanks and best wishes to the graduates for their future professional journey.
