B.K.L. Walawalkar Campus celebrated International Yoga Day on 21 June 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and faculty members. The campus-wide event was jointly organised by the College of Physiotherapy, College of Nursing, Medical College and faculty members from all constituent colleges. The programme began with a welcome address highlighting the physical, mental and social benefits of yoga. Certified instructors and demonstrators then led a guided yoga session in which students and faculty members performed various yoga asanas, pranayama and warm-up exercises together. The session promoted the importance of yoga in maintaining fitness, reducing stress and improving overall well-being. To make the celebration more engaging, two fun yoga-based competitions were organised, which saw enthusiastic participation from students. The event concluded on an energetic note with a Zumba session in which everyone joined wholeheartedly, adding joy and excitement to the celebration. The programme reflected the campus’s commitment to promoting holistic health, teamwork and a culture of wellness among students and staff. Through such initiatives, B.K.L. Walawalkar Campus continues to encourage healthy living and collective well-being within the academic community.
